What would you look for in a doggy daycare?

What factors are most important in your decision? What features do you value most in the daycare itself (fenced acreage to play in, etc), and in the individual in charge? Would you trust someone who is just opening her business for the first time, but has had a lifelong passion for animals?

Also, what would you want your dog’s day to be like in such a daycare?

If you have a dog your input on this would be really helpful!?

We are considering opening a new type of dog friendly hotel. This hotel will allow dogs of any size to stay in the room. Also, when the owners went out for the day they would have the opportunity to leave their dogs behind in our doggie daycare for a nominal fee. Guests would not have to have a dog to stay in this hotel, but this new system of pet care would make traveling much easier for both pet owners and their pets.

    1. What is you age/ gender, and describe your family, spouse? children? number of pets?

    2. On a scale of 1-10 how likely are you to take your pet on vacation 10 being for sure.

    3. What advantages do you believe this hotel hold over other hotels that allow pets?

    4. What do you like about the new opportunity to take any size dog to a hotel?

    5. What do you like about the ability to leave a pet at doggie daycare when making day excursions?

    6. What do you especially like about this hotel?

    7. How much do you usually spend per day on kennels or other places to leave your dog?

    8. How much do you usually spend on hotel rooms, and how much would you be willing to spend to travel with your pet?

    9. What suggestions do you have for improving the hotel?

    10. If you did not have a pet would you want to stay in the hotel?

    11. Any other comments?

i love this dog… and now its adoptable. only problem? im 15.?

im 15 years old and i work at a dog daycare. i go there for 5 shifts a week, each being about 5 hours. At this daycare, they have a program that helps adoptable dogs find a home. For 2 weeks now their has been a dog named tasha in this program, and i have fallen in love with her. She has the sweetest laid back personality and is completely house trained. She has even been taught basic commands like sit, stay, lie down, and come.

I’m desperately trying to show my parents how much i want this dog, but they won’t even consider it. They say its because of my cat… and i can understand that, but he’ll get used to the dog, i know that for a fact because he got used to my cousins cat (that comes to visit lots…hes like their baby).

they also say that were not home enough… but that’s not true. If i take him for walks in the morning before school and right after i get home that wouldn’t be the case.

I asked them if they would just consider having him for a sleepover (if they have too many dogs to keep for the night at the daycare, they send some of the dogs to staff homes for the night) but they use the cat excuse again.

please help me. I feel like crying right now. I feel heartbroken. I love this dog, and i really want him to be part of my family. please help.
